Un instrumento realizado por sudcalifornianos para sudcalifornianos

El Atlas Estatal de Riesgo del estado de Baja California Sur, surge ante la necesidad de contar con este instrumento para coadyuvar a la construcción de la resiliencia en la población sudcaliforniana. En 2022 se dieron las primeras pláticas entre investigadores de la Universidad Autónoma de Baja California Sur y la Subsecretaría de Protección Civil. Un año despues se firmó el convenio de colaboración en el cual el Gobierno de Baja California Sur y la Subsecretaría de Protección Civil pusieron toda su confianza en la UABCS y su planta académica para realizar este importante instrumento. Despues de 1 terabyte de información procesada, 4,000 kilometros recorridos a lo largo y ancho del estado, el equipo de trabajo conformado por 40 investigadores, técnicos, alumnos y personal de apoyo cumplió el objetivo de terminar el Atlas en tiempo y forma.

De esta forma el Gobierno de Baja California Sur, la Subsecretaria de Protección Civil y la UABCS cumplen con su responsabilidad como promotores de la Gestión Integral del Riesgo y la Protección Civil en pro de la sociedad sudcaliforniana.
